Take a water hose, put one end in the pool and put the other end where you want the water to drain, siphon it by sucking through your end of the hose and when the water flows into your muth spit it out, because the water is flowing, it will not stop until air enters the other side of the hose thanks to air displacement and gravity
Lots of time, water, effort, and a big bucket
There is a plug under the skimmer basket attached to the pump. In some instance there maybe a plug underneath the pump itself.
By opening the drain valve SLOWLY as not to cause a dangerous vortexI have worked on over 60,000 pools and have seen a drain valve once. The pool was built in the 30's on the coast and they used to pump sea water into it once a week and drain it to the ocean. I have drained pools by siphoning but you need enough grade to do this or a hillside behind the pool with a long enough hose to prevent soil erosion. You're better off renting a submersible pump.
Not if it,s plumbed right, You should never have to cut into the pool plumbing to drain a pool. Rent a portable sump pump to do the job. Be certain where you drain the water making sure it does not go onto a neighbors property or that it will not wash out a hill side. Also beware, some cities do not allow draining pools into the street, the sewer, vacant lots etc. k
You only use the skimmer/s
No. You cannot use the main drain to lower the water level below the skimmer. This is because the main drain is not really a drain. It only connects right back to the 3 port valve in the skimmer.
could be , is the water level above the skimmer/s / are the skimmer baskets clean/? pump may have just lost it's prime. fill pump with water replace lid and restart.
There is no drain plug. The only way to drain the old fluid is to undo the 5/8 bolt[ which is slightly on the drivers side] of the housing and insert a drain hose and suck the old fluid out with a pump. Use this same fill hole to add new fluid with either the new squeeze caps that come with the 32 oz containers of fluid or turn the pump around and pump the new fluid in.
Absolutely NOT. Without the P/S pump the steering will be extremely hard to turn and it would be dangerous to drive.
Drain the water from your 1998 Chevrolet S 10 cooling system. Remove the water pump return hose. Remove the water pump belt. Remove the water pump retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install the new water pump.
The ropes inside the filter have become blocked, not letting the clean water out at the desired rate of the out put of the pump. A: Firstly, the pool pump is not a DE pump. The pool pump is the one with the motor attached and a round pot like device attached to the motor with a basket inside. The DE FILTER or large tank type device is probably what you are talking about. At 15#'s the filter is overloaded with dirt and cannot pass the water thru it freely or with ease. And I am sure that you are talking about the flow of water thru the filter back to the pool slowing in this instance - right. Back wash the filter before it reaches 15#'s. k
Drain the radiator and dispose of the coolant as its toxic to animals. Remove the pump belt, shroud, and fan. unbolt and remove the pump then install the new one. Reinstall the fan, shroud, and belt, then fill the system with fresh coolant.
