It is a 5 digit code that came with the vehicle and was written on 2 plastic cards. Look for these cards or look for the code written in the owners manual. Without this code you will have to have the Radio Serial # in order for your Honda Dealer to provide the code, unless the selling dealer stored the code in their system. To get the radio serial # you must remove the radio from the car and look on the side or top of the radio. One other way that may work if the radio is already locked up. Press preset buttons 1 and 6 at the same time. Turn on radio. An 8 digit serial number will appear on display. (if stereo was locked up at the time). Be sure to include the "smaller" digits!
Try disconnecting your battery cables for a few minutes then reconnect them and try using your correct radio code again.
How to unlock vu with flat battery
you ask someone if you can use their battery to charge yours with jump cables Or... This may sound silly, but you can still use the key, like we all had to do in the old days......
When the horn starts honking I reset the alarm system on my 1997 Jetta GT by disconnecting the battery cable and waiting a few monutes and then reconnecting the battery cable. You can also unlock the driver's door with the key and it should stop.
I believe you just lock and unlock it using the keyless entry, if available. If not, try the power locks.
Another issue is to disable the alarm when attempting to jumpstart a dead battery. The alarm will come to life and sound when jumper cables are connected to the battery being used to jump the vehicle. The solution is to connect the jumper cables, and while the alarm is sounding, insert the key in the door and manually unlock the vehicle. The alarm will go off, and you can continue to jumpstart the battery. Don't use your key or remote pad, press the lock button from the inside of the car before closing the door.
If the battery goes dead flat the door will still unlock manually with the key.
it is more than likely the anti theft system, if it does nothing at all. try connecting the battery and puttong the key in the ignition and starting it. if this is not it use youe key fab to lock and then unlock th edoors and try it again.
I had the same thing happen to me yesterday. Today the car won't start at all and the battery is fine. Locks continue to lock and unlock as if the car was possessed. Help would be most appreciated!
If it's a factory installed alarm, you should be able to turn it off by: Disconnecting the battery. Next close all the doors on the car. With the doors closed, reconnect the battery. Go to the passenger door and use the key to first lock, and then unlock it. That's how I've gotten them to turn off in the past. If that doesn't work, disconnect the battery, put the key in the ignition and turn it to the "ON" position, and then reconnect the battery. Then close the doors, and then lock and unlock them from the passenger side with the key.
I meant to ask was the radio unlock code, after battery change
You can unlock the doors manually if you turn the key far enough. You can then open the hood and provide power to the vehicle with jumper cables and a donor car. If all else fails you can jack the vehicle up, support it on a jack-stand, and attach a red jumper cable to the starter positive red cable where it connects to the starter and then attach black cable to any metal place on the engine. You can use this procedure to charge the battery with either a battery charger for jumper cables from a donor vehicle.

it is possible for the unlock side of the switch to be bad and it has nothing to do with the battery
== == to engage the alarm press the door lock button on either door panel this will turn on the alarm to shut it off unlock the door from outside either side should disarm the alarm.
just lock the door with the key pad and unlock it with the key pad. get in and it should crank.
Use jump leads from another vehicle or charge your battery on the car
take the battery out and put it back in if it does not work then leave the battery out for about 5 min
use key to manually unlock. manual unlock will not work.
If you can not unlock them with a key, you will have to call a locksmith.
Normal cause is electrical noise in the APPS circuit, dirty battery cables, dirty ground locations, and bad alternator brushes can all be the cause.
If the battery Is disconnect you must use the manual key entry on the door to get in.
