Well, as your old brake pads wear, their is little pistons (or a piston) that automatically adjusts to the wear everytime you brake. You will have to push the pistons back. Leave one side together and put it back together before you go to the other, if you push on one set of pistons, the ones on the other side may come out, if it goes too far it will be damaged. There is a tool that you can buy that will make it much easier. Good luck.
Brake calipers are what house the brake pads and fit over the rotor. If you are working on the brakes, usually the calipers need to be taken off in order to work.
No, there calipers are different. you can order the correct pads @ www.pdmautoparts.com
The calipers on a Mazda 6 turn inwards you don't push them to compress them.
If you are talking about getting the piston pushed back so the new pads will fit over the rotors......you have to turn the piston clockwise and it will move itself back into the caliper
Doubtful, it probably will not fit over the brake calipers.
Sure I can, I do it all the time. But if YOU can't perhaps it's because: 1. you don't know how, in which case you'll probably need some help. 2. You have the wrong parts, in which case you'll need to take the OLD brake pads with you when you buy the new ones. 3. Perhaps you have the pads on the calipers but can't get the whole thing over the rotor, in which case you'll need to collapse the calipers first. You can buy/rent/borrow a tool for that, or you can just use a large "C" clamp.
Kia's have rear calipers with screw in pistons. You must buy a tool from your local auto parts store called a "cube" it has little notches that fit into grooves on the piston. Then attach a standard socket and screw in the piston.
You take off the two bolts at the front and rear of the calipers and lift the the caliper up off of the disk. You might have to push the pistons back in a little in order to fit the new pads and get the caliper back on. Use a torque wrench and manual to ensure the right torque on those bolts when re-installing.
No. The dish of the rim will not fit over the brake calipers The smallest rim that will fit a 2006 Ram is a 17 inch wheel.
No the wheels will not fit because they do not clear the brake calipers on the truck. The wheels maybe the same size but the rims don't have the clearance for the calipers
You probaly have the wrong pads, look for the right ones and they will fit good
No. they will not clear the calipers.
