I have the same problem, but i have a '95 Monte Carlo but its the same bodyframe and my passenger door wont close. I have to either slam it to get it shut, or spend an hour or so playing with the door hinge....like my passenger door, when i open it up, you know how its got that grabber thing to make it grab on to the metal latch to shut it? Well, i have to open that and play with it, and the unlock/lock button to get it closed

It SHOULD be on the steering column on the right side above the ignition (where you put the key) I just recently got a 98 Monte Carlo and that's where mine is (its just missing the button) and there's a hole where the button should be, if yours is like mine where the button is missing if you push your finger in, it will turn your hazard lights on and again to turn them off.
