Look at what you are eating closely. I had a friend at highschool who said she couldn't gain weight - but all she ate was lollies and fruit. You need to eat heavy foods - breads, meats, diary. Are you eating sensibly? At regular times? And althought it sounds yuck - look at the stuff coming out the other end. Is it digested? Or just passing through your body. You could have a medical condition. I have a girlfriend that is slim, but she works out and now has good muscle tone. I use to be on the thin side when I was in my teens, but when I was 20 I was my proper weight. Be thankful you are on the thin side (as long as you eat well) but 3/4 of the United States and Canada are fighting the battle of the bulge.

I don't know exactly what you mean by "major" weight gain, but, I've been on coumadin for about 8 years now, and within the first 6 months of taking it I gained about 10 lbs. without changing my diet or exercise routine. I've tried to lose it, but it won't go away. I told my doc. this and he said that according to the 'experts' out there, coumadin doesn't cause weight gain. But, he also said that it was the only thing that could've caused it in me based on everything I've told him. He assured me it was most likely water weight instead of fat. Hope this helps!

Simple, to gain weight eat MORE calories. To lose weight, eat less. Eating more calories doesn't mean they have to be unhealthy calories though EVERYTHING (except some diet drinks and water) has calories, even vegtables. Just eat bigger portians of healthy foods and you should gain weight soon. Simple, to gain weight eat MORE calories. To lose weight, eat less.
