It's in the boot, or trunk if your in the USA. If the battery is flat, then you need to open the boot with the ignition key - look between the X and the K on the rear badge.
Hi - Below the push button boot release is a key lock, under the lip between the number plate lights. Seems obvious but it is well hidden - I had to ring Lancaster Jaguar in Sidcup to ask where it was!
take two back wheels off then undo exhaust then try boot it will defo work
The words "Boot Open" means the trunk lid is open. Cheers, Jeff

use the key
It means that the car beieves that the boot/trunk is open. Either the switch is broken or the latch hasn't closed properly.
You need to pop the bonnet and get some jump leads and connect it up to the positive terminal under the plastic flap on the right hand side. Then attach the negitive lead to any metal part of the engine. This will power up the car and you will be able to use the keyfob to open the boot to gain access to the battery.
open the trunk, unbolt the existing battery, bolt in the new one
Open the key fob and see what battery it contains.
Take a set of jumper cables, attach them to a battery or 12 volt power source, open the hood of your jaguar. Look for a small fuse box on the passenger side of the engine compartment. Find the red positive point, pull back the rubber boot and attach the positive jumper cable. Ground the black to the motor, or any other metal part of the car. Open the trunk lid.
manually: insert key, turn, lift boot. voila :)
