I replaced mine about 2 years ago, so I am going by memory. It is a fairly simple fix, but takes time (cleaning and resealing). Open the rear door and prop it up (I used a step ladder as a prop). Disconnect the hydraulic door lifts where they connect by the window (pry off the small flat spring clips that hold them on the pivot point). The door is fairly heavy, thus the need for a sturdy prop. Remove the inside plastic trim around the window. You may have to jockey it around a bit to clear the lift pivot studs. Remove the two connections from the defroster. The window has screws attached to the glass itself that go through holes in the door. Remove the nuts. The glass can then be removed. It has a sealer around the perimeter. I used a putty knife and worked around the edges to free the glass from the perimeter seal. Clean off the old glass sealer. I scraped as much as I could with a hard plastic spatula, then I used Goof Off or something similar to finish the cleaning. I used regular windshield sealer from the local auto parts store to run a bead around the new glass and had my neighbor help set it in place. Then, just reverse the removal procedure from that point. Hope this helps
Yes. But, I never seen one mounted in the window? If you have a saw to cut the window or a hole in the tray below the window - have at it.
Did you check for power to the motor? If the switch doesn't work then the motor won't work. If there is power to the connector that hooks onto the motor then the part may be defective, if not then trace it back.
