Short answer......... Dont do it. I replaced my head unit with a Sony one and amp with a 600 watt. It sounds great but the problems I now have is my internal lights, Dash gauges and other bits and pieces are giving problems. Everything seems to drop out and not work. There is a factory wire orange in color (marked as "Ill") and a blue wire (marked as "Park") which must form a loop somehow. Its impossible to work out where these can be connected to. Ive tried all possibler combinations to no avail. Ive ended up joining those two wires as this is the best result ive had to date. At least now I have dash lights back. lol. So be warned its not a cut and dry conversion. Jeep has a mongrel system to work with. Hope this helps........
no.
yes you can install an aftermarket radio in a GM vehicle that is equiped with a theft lock radio. the radio itsel has the theftlock not the car so you can install any aftermarket radio in the car. There may be some other parts that you may need to install an aftermarket radio such as a dash kit, wiring harness and antenna adaptor. If your vehicle is a newer model with Bose and onstar, you may need an integration kit made by PAC-audio.

Have you installed an aftermarket radio or is the factory radio still installed? I had put in a aftermarket radio on my 04 Grand Prix and it does not keep date and time installed. That's because the factory radio holds that information for some reason I dont know hope that helps.
Heres the info. that I have. hope it helps... The molding around your radio pops off, you may need to pry in the cornors. take out the 4 screws that hold in the radio, pull out radio disconnect the antenna, power, then plug back in the new one, replace molding.
