Your in luck my friend i have the same year of car all i used was a inline converter that's hooked up to the back 6x9 speakers
I have same problem in 02 Alero.
yes. The wiring structure has only minor differences between 1996-2003 eldorados.
I have a 1991 G20, and the radio suddenly quit working; the FSM specifically indicates a FUSE at the back of the radio head unit. but even at VERY close scrutiny i.e. disassembling the radio, no fuse could be located.
Radio was released on 10/24/2003.
Your Radio was created on 2003-11-30.
install a radio
To install an aftermarket stereo in a 2003 Montana you need to first buy a trim plate or a mounting bracket. Remove the dash panel. Disconnect the ground cable from the battery. Remove the factory stereo. Unplug the factory wiring harness from the radio. Connect the new radio. Test it and reassemble the dash. Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
it shuts off when you open the driver side door....
Could you please send your answer to livealoha@bobtoledo.com
I have same problem in 02 Alero.
The 2003 Alero does not have the hour and minute buttons to change the time. The instructions for the clock are also not in the 2003 Alero Owner Handbook either. The steps to change the time:At the top right of the radio there should be two tiny holesInsert a paperclip into one of the holes and hold it thereOnce you hear a beep you should be able to reset the time
Having just bought a 2003 Crown Victoria Police Interceptor myself, I googled the question. Here is a great site- 'http://www.p71interceptor.com/radio/' Also, google or eBay "DIN tools" for the $5 part that you need to easily remove the factory radio. Here's one site- 'http://www.crutchfield.com/S-SzVX5SwIXCB/App/Product/Item/Main.aspx?i=120865618' Hope this helps.
Yes you can install this CD changer into a 2003 Silverado. It shouldn't be too hard to remove the standard radio and replace it with this.
Oil Filter 2003 Alero V6 3.4L part no. 3387
i have a 2003 olds alero i need to know the location of the camshaft sensor
there should be two holes, vertically, on each side of the radio, you can make a tool out of a coat hanger to stick into each side, when you have placed your homemade radio tool into the holes, simultaneously, you should be able to pull the factory radio out
Having attempted it more than one time on my 2002 Alero, I would say the short answer is "you don't"! The door chime is part of the computer program in the radio, as is a few other timing functions of the vehicle. I believe there is an after-market kit to fix this problem, but it was way more expensive than a new radio, so I gave up. 70-2003 from metra and you lose door chime if a check engine light comes on you just have to put factory radio back in for tech to clear code... no "onstar" right? if so use Metra Electronics Corp. GMOS-01 or Metra Electronics Corp. GMOS-04...check your local car audio shops... big box stores usually have decent price equipment...but labor is crazy ...just go to a reputable local shop
