Excellent question because Honda, in their not-so-infinite wisdom, decided to be chic and not use the same wiper protocol that 99% of other vehicles do. After some frustration and cutting my hand (thanks Honda!!!), this is how you do it (at least for the coupe, not sure if the sedan is the same):

1) Lift the wiper assembly from the windshield.

2) Using a small screwdriver, your fingernail, etc, depress the small black square while pulling up on the wiper. The entire wiper blade assembly should pop out.

3) With the wiper out, you'll notice that the ends are not the same. One end has a small plastic hinge that you have to pinch, and pull up on. Once it's up, pull off the entire plastic hinge piece.

4) At this point you should be able to slide the blade itself out of the assembly.

5) At this point I realized that the replacements I had were not the correct size (thanks Walmart!!!) so I said f*** it and went to Sams Club to have them put the new ones in (they do it for free). That way if something gets screwed up they are to blame.

6) So I'm guessing from this point it's just a reverse of my directions above to get the new blade in. Reinstalling the assembly into the wiper arm is a bit** and is where I cut my hand. Maybe some WD-40 would help?

I bought (leased) my Civic new, and I will never (repeat NEVER) buy another Honda vehicle again. This car as just been one let down after another. Tires and brakes are shot after a 20K miles, completely worthless in snow (even shallow) with brand new Goodyears, the ride quality could not be any rougher, hesitates to start in cold weather (shouldn't do that for only being a year old), "premium" sound system is far from "premium", the sun visor swings around and will not stay in place, and plenty more. This was my first import and I bought it because I thought it'd be a step above any similar domestic offering. Wrong!!! I should have bought the Cobalt SS. Oh well, only another 1.5 years on my lease.
