Ron Please don't gut your exhaust. It will most likely make it run worse, get you in trouble with the cops. To make it go faster mill the head or install a thinner head gasket might help or take your piston to a chain saw shop and get a more high performance piston. You may have to rejet your carburetor after you modify your motor. Yes it will help your scooter and you wont get introube withe the cops it will be the same as an Xcan. how you gut it is take out all of the pading and you can drill the outlet out 2 5/8in or 1/2in. you may have 2 cut the muffler in half then reweld it but dont back down do what ever it takes to gut it.

First if your fat go to the gym, second buy it a performance kit, third go to www.partsforscooters.com they have a wide variety of performance parts for scooters, dirtbikes, and minichoppers at low prices. it is a good website to order from i recommend it.if you are talking about a full size scooter you would have to get a CDI that has no rev limiter and remove restrictions in the variator and exhaust.that is how you do it cheaply, of course there are mods available to improve performance.
