I believe you turn the gauge panel dimmer wheel all the way down ( located just to
the right of your headlight switch on your dash )
that button is usually for the dome light override so when doors are open lights can b turned off
check the dome lamp override switch
Be sure the dome light override switch is turned off.
The main dome light control switch is turned off.
The switches for the dome light on each door of a 2004 Olds Alero are at the front of the door. They are on the door frame where the door meets the frame when it is closed. If the dome light is staying on, try checking the dome light control by the headlight switch, also. It may have gotten bumped when entering the vehicle.
the dome light bulb can be burnt out or the door pins are sticking. check it out.
Either one of the door switches is broken or the dome light switch on the dash is turned on.
There is a a button on the left side of the dash that says dome override.
The dome light override switch next to the light might be bad. In one position (pushed in, I believe), it provides a constant 12V to the light. In the other position, it provides 12V to the light only when the doors are open. If the switch is bad, it might not be letting electricity through it at all.
Does it stay on forever? Or does it eventually go out? FriPilot
your dome light is set in the on psition it will stay on all the time. you can set it to door open mode and it'll turn on when the doors are open or you could have it off all the time. your dome light is set in the on psition it will stay on all the time. you can set it to door open mode and it'll turn on when the doors are open or you could have it off all the time.
Either the manual light switch is on or the door switch is damaged.
