Note: the air conditioning coils (condenser radiator) are exposed on the front grill - clearly visible through the lower grill openings. Unlike practically any other vehicle, this radiator is not protected from sizeable flying rocks,etc. This has been the case at least through the 2007 model year. See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:2007-Honda-Element.jpg I bought some mesh wire from the hardware store, cut it to size,painted it black,and used nylon tie wraps to secure it in place behind the grill. This helps protect the AC condenser.
