How do you remove a car door lock from a Honda accord?

REMOVE A DOOR LOCK ASSY. ON A HONDAfirst of all what year is the Honda and is the lock on the handle or on the door. if the lock is in the door you have to remove the interior door panel. you have to take pff the plastic housing around the inner handle with a Phillips screw drive and then pop the clips away from the door when you do this you may have to purchase new clips from Honda they are very cheap to buy.now if your panel is off you peel back the plastic that covers the hole and look inside of the door and it should be a horse shoe shaped clip around the lock itself.very carefully get some pliers or needle nose and pull the clip in the direction of the opening of the clip. once you do that you remove the rod .there should be a plastic clip on the rod lift it with your fingers and your done. if its a lock on the handle look inside of the door there shold be a clip holding the same rod on the handle flip the clip and use a 10 mm. 1/4 drive socket or 8 mm. socket and take it out . if your not sure how to do this take it to Honda or a lock smith to remove the tumbler only.good luck i hope this helps out i did this for 37 years plus as a body man and painter.
