To remove the rear rotors on a 2002 Oldsmobile, a wheel puller will be necessary. A wheel puller has a foot that attaches to the hub, with feet that attach to the rotor. The more the wheel puller is turned, the more it pushes on the hub and loosens the rotor.
Should be the "peel off" type Remove wheel Remove caliper mounting bolts Slide caliper off rotor Rotor should slide off hub assembly
Pretty simple, Remove the tires, remove the break caliper, pull off the rotor and replace. You should use new break pads when ever changing the rotor on any car.
take the wheel off, remove the two bolts off the back of the caliper, take the caliper off the rotor, take the little star screw out of the the face of the rotor, after that take a mallet and tap the rotor and it should come right off!
there is no need to remove the center nut- spray the rotor down with wd40 and bang the hell out of it with a hammer. dont worry about damaging it- you are likely replacing it anyway,
Remove brake caliper and then caliper mounting frame . Rotor is now free.
remove the caliper, pads and mounts. There is a set screw in the face of the rotor, remove this. Thread in a bolt of same thread size and tighten until rotor pops off hub. The rotor will fall off the hub. A light tap of a hammer on the rotor in a circular pattern, should produce similar results if you don't a bolt.
all you will need is to find rotor size because front and rear rotors are different and check wheel size volvo"s have rotors sizes for different wheels packages disconnect battery find level ground jack up car remove wheel check brake remove caliper bolts remove rotor pin on rotor take a hammer knock old rotor loose check em,brake clean area from old brake dust reverse process
remove front tires(19mm) turn wheel to one side, unbolt caliper(2 bolts) from side with bolts easily accessable, pull off caliper from rotor(may need to use large screwdriver to pry off), then remove rotor (if rotor never been removed, you may need to cut the locking washers off the wheel studs, and you may need a blow hammer to hit rotor, unless your replacing rotor with new, hit with any hammer!!!
