there is a speacial tool that is shaped like a horse shoe you can purchase it at any automotive store. or you can make your own by using a metal hanger and bend it. on each front side there is two holes o like this insert tool in there o pull it out.
this is how i did it ~ 1st remove the dash frame (my husband's 92 Ford Ranger had 2 screws & the rest were fasteners that popped right out). Then make the special tool as described here: http://www.sb.net/wkeller/mustangs-faq/part-3.html#SEC_1.a i used a short piece of 2x2 and drove 2 nails in and ground down the nail heads - it only took a few minutes & it worked like a charm! you insert the nails into the 2 little holes on each side in each corner of the radio face (left side, then right side or vice versa). Push out on the "handle" and pull forward on the radio at the same time. you may have to jiggle & push on the tool so that the nail heads engage the clips in there. I did one side of the radio & then the other. Pull radio out, remove wire clips and antenna connection & voila!! i'm a stay-at-home mom with no vehicle repair experience, so if "I" can do it, anyone can! :-)
Use the expensive Ford tool, or just use four, clean 16penny nails, and slide them into the four holes in the faceplate of the radio. This will release the spring clips, and the radio can be gently worked out. To replace, remove nails, and just slide unit in.
There's 4 holes on the front of the stereo that are used to pull the stereo out. These tools can be purchased at any auto parts store.
Pull the trim around it from the bottom, it's just a couple clips. Then four 7mm bolts hold the radio. 30-second job.
If it has 4 small holes one on each side, take 4 small rods and push in those holes and it should unlock it.It will be a tight squeeze getting it out but,it should come out.
u yank it out really hard with like another truck or something
