You need to remove the 4 or 8 bolts that hold the track to the floor. Then you can remove the seat. But you must unclip the wires for the motor first before removing it so you do not damage them.

Push in on the bottom of the seat front and then lift.
On newer models, you have to move the seat all the way forward, remove side trim cover, remove seat belt anchor bolt, remove seat rails retaining bolts, tilt seat upward, disconnect wires, remove seat...
