This car has what they call a captured rotor system, getting the spindle assy off is pretty straight forward but getting the rotor off the Hub assy will require a hydraulic press, so before you even attempt to start this job have a 3-6 ton press available to use and expect to change the hub bearings as well.
New Answer:
A hydraulic press is not required and the hub bearings don't need to be changed.
Remove hubcap. Remove 32mm axle nut. Loosen lug nuts, lift car and remove wheels. Remove brake calipers, (leave lines connected, tie the calipers up to the strut springs with heavy wire). Remove brake caliper mount brackets. Disassemble lower front suspension, (lower ball joint, tie rod, pinch-bolt through damper fork, unplug ABS connector, etc.) Pull steering knuckle out to disengage drive axle. Loosen 4 bolts on inside of knuckle, this holds the hub bearing assembly in place. Soak it with penetrant. The hub sometimes rusts in place and can be extremely difficult to remove. Try a hammer and a punch around the edges, being careful not to drive the punch into the bearing. If that doesn't work, try to heat the front edge of the spindle. Or put the hub bolts back in a few turns and use the punch and hammer on the bolt heads.
Once the hub bearing assembly is free, the rotor can then be removed.
Remove the tire and wheel. Remove the brake pads and break hardware. The brake rotor will slide off. You may need to tap the rotor with a hammer.
Most Honda brake rotors require a large slide hammer as they are not only pressed onto the hub, but also rusted which makes it very hard to remove. This may well require an experienced technician.
To change the brake rotors on a 1991 Honda Civic raise the vehicle. Remove the wheels and brake caliper bracket. Remove the brake pads. Loosen the rotor mounting screws and replace the rotors.
In may area around $150.
The minimum brake rotor thickness for the front and back rotors on a 1992 Honda Accord is 21mm. Rotors which are below this thickness will not offer adequate or reliable braking.
remove tire calipers brake assembly then pull your rotors off i would recomend putting new brake pads if your putting new rotors you will need a special puller for the rotors cause they are pressed on
AS A GENERAL RULE YOU GET THE ROTORS CUT OR RESURFACED BY A REPUTABLE SHOP. THERE IS NOT REPAIR THEY ARE EITHER THICK ENOUGH TO CUT OR THEY NEED TO BE REPLACED
where do I add brake fluid to my Honda accord 92
You will need to remove the tire and wheel from your 1986 Honda Accord. Remove the brake caliper and the brake spring. The disk brakes will come off. Reverse the process to install the new front disc brakes.
Yes, you can do it at home. Take the two bolts out of the brake caliper that hold the pads on, and once they are out, the rotor should slide off.
