Replacing the inside door handle is quick and easy. First, behind the actual handle there is an access panel with a small divot in the bottom for a small flat screwdriver. Pry it out and it will expose a 10mm galvanized bolt. Remove the bolt. Ok now pry out the sideview mirror access panel at the front of the door, directly across from the mirror. It is held in by 3 clips and no screws. Ok now you have two options. You can pry up and out the switches panel that house all the door, mirror and window switches. Again the lift out and held only by clips. Remove the three or more wiring harnesses which are coded and sized for that specific switch so no need to write where goes what. Now pry open, but don't try to yank it out, the panel on the door knob or blade. The little thing that goes up and down at the back of the door. I'll calll it the emergency door unlock blade in my Yukon. Once lifted out of place it will slide up and out. Now you need to remove the door panel my with a tool or just pry it away from the door. Start in one corner, the mirror upper right was easiest for me. Work your way around the sides and bottom. Now lift up to remove the panel from the top channel it sits in but DON't pull it too far from the door. The handle is still attached!!
Now pull it away just enough to see behind and you will see 2 (7mm) bolts holding the handle in place from behind. (sneaky little chevy) Loosen the bolts and the handle will come out. From here you can remove the handle and place your new one in. Just reverse the process to put it together.
