Once vehicle is supported on jack stand and wheel is off:
1: look at base of lug nut studs and see if there is a clip against the drum. If there is a clip, pry off with screw driver and discard. If no clip don't worry it was removed or fell off already.
2: Grab drum with both hands and pull evenly (slight back and forth or rocking motion may be used) on the drum. Hand positions 3 and 9 or 12 and 6. There is a small lip on back edge of drum to grab for extra grip but, Do Not pull on back plate. You can feel where drum stops and back plate begins but rotating drum slightly, since, the back plate will not move like the drum.
Drum should slide off wheel studs easily. Do Not use any oil on any of these parts you can damage the brakes and lug nuts might not stay tight once finished.

If you're trying to remove the brake drum, be sure to NOT have the emergancy brake on. Remove the wheel and tap the drum with a rubber mallet until it releases, That's it!
Better hope it is not a drum brake- it was originally equipped with a disc brake caliper.
