The intake plenium will need to be removed to gain access to the rear three sparkplugs. This is a job that requires some automotive repair skills, about on-par with changing a starter. There is a bent steel gasket that goes between the intake manifold and the plenium, it must be replaced. You can find it at the Kia dealership, or Hyundai's parts department has them also, as the Sonata 2.5 V6 uses this part also. Be sure to use premium platinum sparkplugs! Standard plugs will wear out quickly and require this process to be repeated. The sparkplug wires should be replaced when changing the plugs. They cannot be changed without pulling the plenium either. I paid $23. for the gasket, $68. for the plugs and $60. for the wires in March of 08. It took just under two hours from when I popped the hood to when I washed my hands, working at a very leisurly pace. Good luck! SJMCDO
