I have a 92 Cavi, So there shouldn't be much difference, after removing the screws, you have to pop off the window crank, then lift up on the panel and it should pop off.....If you have electric windows, Im stuck, lol.
I have the same model. You take all the screws around it out...pull out the panel where the tree's are located...then once the entire thing is loose (meaning nothing holding it on that you can see) lift up on the door panel. You will probably have to unplug the wires for the power locks and windows after your done...its not difficult. The only difficult part is putting it back on. You have to plug the wires back in..... then put it back on without the black strip that separates the window from the panel..then you try to put it back in and once the panel is hanging on the door you slam down from the top of the panel. Then just screw everything in. However before you slam down on it...make sure the metal clips at the tip top of the panel are aligned with the door.
Remove the inside door panel of your 1997 Chevy Lumina. Remove the linkage to the window crank. Remove the window crank retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install the new window crank.
You have to remove the inside panel, where the window crank is, or would be.
Remove inside door handle and window crank handle, remove inside door panel, remove vent window and channel assembly, remove window.
All you need is a paint can opener. Under the window crank there is a horseshoe shaped pin and you just need to snag it and pull it out. Put down the window first and do the above. Then after romoving all the screws in the door panel lift up on it until it pops off.
they make special manual window crank removal tool but you can use a screwdriver its kind of tricky though.you local parts store will have one and they will show you how to use it if you buy the tool its a breeze.and you wont damage the door panel.
There is a c-clipthat holds the crank in place, you just need to push it off and the crank comes off.
You need a door handle removal tool. Go to any auto parts store and buy one. They're about $5
behind the window crank
You will need to remove the inside door panel of your 1977 Chevrolet blazer. Remove the window crank linkage. Remove the window crank retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install the new window crank.
Most chevys have a horseshoe shaped clip on the window crank. There is a special tool to remove it , but I just push them off with a small screw driver, or hook the back with a dental tool
There is a horseshoe-shaped metal clip behind the window crank. You must ply the clip out from behind the crank in order to release the crank itself. I would advise you to remove the crank before unscrewing any parts to the door (the process can be very difficult and this will save time). Some auto stores sell cheap removal kits for this.
