there
The first time I looked it had me thinking as well???
I phone my mate at the local VW workshop I visit them to do wheel alignment, so I know the right guy to ask.
He said look harder??
1st open rear doors, 2nd plastic cover vertical panel that's under the rubber cable tube REMOVE use flat blade screwdriver under top edge, you may think we're going to brake it! hidden under this panel is 2 screws remove the screws then push lamp unit to the out side of van its held in 2 ball sockets, un-clip wiring connector bulb holder is held in by acouple of no.7??? torx bit screws and after all that its the top bulb.
Easy? and just think on this? in main land Europe you've got to carry spare bulbs but what use is that if you need to find a VW garage to change the b----- bulb,
I hope this is of some help Cheers for now have a good Christmas 2008 MJM
Yes, common for bulb to blow. Take cover off, and twist round. Takes a really small bulb
It's nothing to do with the parking brake. If you follow the brake pedal up behind the dash you with find a switch thats pushed on when when you press the brake, this will be stuck and will need easing off, i used grease on mine. I had the same problem
82bhp it depends entirely on the engine and year really. the C14NZ from mk3 astra's was only 60bhp
It depends on what you mean by Mk2. Original Mk1 caddy was a pick up based on Mk1 Golf sold until about 89 Then the Mk2 Caddy was a van based on Seat Inca (Polo and Ibiza) but is sometime referred to as the MK1 Van. This is where it gets confusing as at the same time as the van was on sale, they brought out another Caddy pick up based on the Skoda Felica pickup so it is either the Mk2 pickup or the Mk3 Caddy.. Now since 2004 there are new van varients out sometimes referred to as the MK2 van, Type 3, type 20 or Mk4 Caddy.... I have a 99 Mk2 Caddy (van) and it does not have central locking or remote central locking as standard but I fitted a kit from ebay to give it remote central locking
1998 Mk3 1999 Mk4
810kg for a mk1 929kg 1110KG for a mk3
The Mk3 is a compact car with a diesel engine and a seating capacity of 5 adults. The Volkswagen Golf Mk3 was introduced in Europe in 1991 and North America in 1993. The Mk3 replaced the Rabbit in North America.
is this a MK3 supra? if so..It is a pain it is behind the gas tank and pretty much on top of the rear diff.
Not too hard. Pop the hood and look behind the headlight assembly. You should see a rubber cap of sorts. Pull it off. Reach into the hole you just uncovered and feel around until you feel a plastic ring holding the bulb in place. unscrew it. That should free the bulb so that you can pull it out. gently pry up on the latch holding the bulb in its holder. replace build and reverse steps. should take 5-15 minutes per bulb. To replace the headlight on my mk3 focus I had to remove the whole headlamp assembly. However this is easily done with one screw on the top of the unit. Once removed the whole head lamp comes off with a bit of pulling. There are plastic clips on the bottom of the lamp. Once out the bulb cover is removed with four clips to reveal the bulbs. This is an easy job to do yourself as long as you have a screwdriver large enough for the screw.
Make sure you have the correct bulb. They all look alike but they are different. Make sure you put it in correctly, there's a tab and slot on the bulb and you have to give it a twist to lock it in.
One can purchase a VW Golf MK3 at a car dealership. The best location to purchase a VW Golf MK3 would be a Volkswagen retailer. One can also purchase a VW Golf MK3 at a used car dealership.
its not a lens, there are some decent quality replacement ones on eBay or at vwspecific.com (their site sucks, just email them)
