remove the black plastic liner in your front passenger side wheel-well...this can be done with the removal of a few screws or rivets..... The power antenna motor and assembly will then be easily accessed. Remove the old one (not much to it) and replace, sites such as Ebay offer new ones for under $40 dollars.

I just did this today. It took about 2hours. Take your front tire off and loosen about 5-9 bolts that hold the innter fender panel on. Then you can pull back and disconnect 2-3 bolts that hold the antenna in. My problem now is that I can't get the new rod to retrieve back into the antenna. Hope this helps. Mike

i need to know how many miles per gallon does a 1999 mitsubishi montero sport

There aren't headlight covers, it all one unit. One of my lens was cracked and I had to replace the whole unit.

The parking brake light stay lit on the 1999 Mitsubishi Montero sport the parking brake is working and you have not put the light off.

You have to remove the front right tire, and go up through the inside of the fender. A lot of work just to remove an antenna! I just did this on my 1999 Montero Sport. Once you remove the back of the fender, you just remove a few nuts from the antenna mount, unplug the power supply, unplug the antenna from the radio and pull the antenna cable out. You can save some time with a short screw driver and don't remove the tire, just the bottom of the fender (and flares). For mounting purposes is best if you use the original part. Before you remove the cable from the inside (if the antenna is not good) cut the cable and use it to pull the new antenna's one. Trust me the hardest part is getting that cable in. Need lots of patience and about 2 hours.. Check out this site for step by step instructions....with replace your electric antenna.....

There's a plastic cable with teeth inside your antenna. A gear in the antenna base engages this "cable" and pushes/pulls the antenna. Sounds like either the gear or cable has some broken teeth. It won't hurt for the motor to keep going like this, but your antenna may break at any time. hth, K All true, and new antennas are fairly cheap <$40 and easy to install

unless you have access to a lift i would suggest taking it to a mechanic. This is a tough one and well worth the money vs frustration of doing it yourself.

Remove driver's door panel and Replace the Actuator.... you can can get one from the junk yard for a reasonable price .... I just replaced mine .... works great

The antenna on a 99 civic is normally located on the roof next to the drivers side door on the roof. There should be a black casing right above the windshield and the antenna should be right there, if there is a casing and no antenna then someone has pulled it out and you will have to replace the entire antenna housing. Hope this helps.

There are no symptoms. The belt will just break without warning. You must replace the belt every 60,000 miles. Warning: This is an interference engine so if the belt breaks you will have serious engine damage.
