well first you have to take the driveshaft out. There are 4 bolts that connect it to the rear, they must be removed and it will slid out of the back of the transmission.Next you want to take the transmission crossmember out.If you unbolt the trans mount it will make it easier to get out.when that's all done the tail end of the trans should drop down.pull the starter out.IT should be on the right side looking towards the front of the car. now look where the trans meets the engine there should be 6 bolts.Remove them and the trans should pull right out.oh don't forget to remove the slave cylinder from the side of the trans first.
replace 1996 nissan 200sx se 1.6 tension pulley
Metal piece was from the end of the clutch cable.
Replace
The '96 200sx has no fluid for the clutch. This car has a cable operated clutch that needs to be adjusted. If the cable breaks the clutch will not disengage. If the clutch is getting tight it will need lubed. If lubing the cable doesn't work a new cable is needed.
Disconnect the driveshaft at the rear end and pull it out of the trans.
drop the tranny so i have been told by many mechanics except the one i got done they lied, oh we gotta pull the motor, scammers!
Where is the starter to a Nissan 200sx
cant see bolt on other side off starter, how to replace it ?
First you must start by removing the entire ignition, itself, on the Nissan 200SX. It should be fairly easy, you will just need the correct tools. Once you have bought the new ignition switch, attach it to the ignition and then re-install the ignition into the Nissan 200SX.
ask the mechanic from the Nissan company
