1989 Berretta etta dimmer switch?

On my 89 Corsica switch on column under dash and may be difficult to replace without lowering column. I unplugged old switch, plugged in new switch, set it to dim and wired it to column so now only have dim lights so this might work for you as I believe Berretta and Corsica the same for this.

Why would the headlights not work on a Chevy Corsica?

On my 89 there is a ground wire on the body in front of battery. Bad connection will cause problem with headlights. Could be hi/lo dimmer switch under dash. Hard to replace without removing steering column but I unplugged switch, plugged in new switch, set new switch on dim lights, and wired new switch to steering column so I have lights but only dim lights

93 Chevy Corsica headlights wont come on?

Be sure headlight switch is ok. On my 89 there is ground wire on body in front of battery and dirty connection will activate circuit breaker in headlight switch. Could be dimmer switch on column under dash which may be hard to remove without lowering column. I unplugged old dimmer switch, plugged in new switch, set it to dim, and wired it to column so now only have dim lights( but can drive at night) as old switch still connected to activator rod which goes up to turn signal/dimmer handle.

Where is the fuse for the headlights on a 1991 Corsica?

Check repair book but my 89 has circuit breaker in headlight switch. There is ground wire on body in front of battery. Bad ground will cause breaker to activate so unbolt ground and clean connection. Could have bad dimmer switch which is on column under dash and may be hard to remove without lowering column. I unplugged old switch, plugged in new dimmer switch, set it to dim, and wired new switch to column so now only have dim lights as old switch is connected to activator rod which goes to turn signal/dimmer handle.

How to replace the Hi-Lo headlight switch on a 1990 3.1L Corsica?

Buy or get from library repair book and see that switch is on steering column undr dash. I believe difficult to replace without removing steering column. On my 89 I unplugged switch, pluged in new switch, set new switch on low beam, and wired switch to column. So now I have only low beam as old switch is still connected to actuator rod that goes to turn signal/ dimmer handle. ALso, there is ground wire attached to body in front of battery. Clean the connection as bad ground can cause circuit braker in headlight switch to activate. This is just my experience, I am not a professional mechanic.

How do you replace high low headlight switch 1991 corsica?

its under dash on left side of steering column theres a rod that runs from your blinker switch when you pull on it that pushes down this switch on your column It may be difficult to remove without lowering column. I unplugged old switch, on '89, pluggged in new switch, set new switch on dim, and wired switch to column so now only have dim lights but avoided paying a lot to a garage to replace switch.

Can steering column be bypassed to rewire turn signals in 89 Chevy Corsica?

The steering wheel cannot be bypassed to rewire turn signals in a 1989 Chevy Corsica. The switch for the wires is in the steering column. If the steering wheel were bypassed, the wires would not be connected to the switch.

How do you tune a 1989 Chevrolet Corsica carburetor?

What could cause your high beams not to work on a 1993 Corsica?

my hi/lo switch just crapped and the lights died completely before the switch quit for good. Maybe that's what happened to you? If anyone knows how to change the switch on a 1990 3.1L Corsica please post. Thanks Freaker I had same problem on 89 Corsica. Hi/lo switch under dash and hard to take off unless you remove steering column so I unplugged switch and plugged in new switch and set new switch on low beam and wired switch to column. Now have low beams but since new switch not connected to activator rod (which goes to turn signal handle) as old switch still attached to activator rod, only have low beams. New switch about ten dollars. On 89 there is ground wire on body in front of battery. First, unbolt and clean ground, as bad ground can make lights inoperative so if you are lucky, cleaning ground could solve problem.
