First, disconnect the negative cable on the battery. Remove bolts support the starter. Lower and tilt starter to give you access to the wires. Detach the wires. Install starter in the opposite method of removing.

Make sure the solonoid is bad first.. It is on top of the starter and the starter has to be removed to replace it.

It is mounted on the starter motor itself. When you get another starter, it will have the solenoid mounted on it already. If it is bad, just replace the starter, I would not change just the solenoid.
you have to remove the starter to replace the relay and the relay cost almost as much as the whole starter so you are better off just replacing the whole starter.
Replace it with a new one, there is no repairing it.

Remove the positive battery cable from your 1993 Chevy Cheyenne battery. Remove the two cables from the front of the starter. Remove the three starter retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install the new starter.
