The rear tail light assembly had problems with the sockets and circuit board. My guess is you will need to replace the socket and circuit board assembly for the passenger side rear tail light.
Found the wiring diagram for where the colored wires go to connect to the bulb connectors, so I'm thinking my wiring to replace the circuit board is not correct. This is a 1987 Volvo 240dl. Can anyone offer any assistance? I tried following the circuit board as to where to place the wires, but it cannot be correct. If anyone has hard wired theirs, please advise.
The people who state it is easy are STUPID. They are soldered on to the circuit board.
You can't. There's a circuit board connected to the shifter with LEDs on it. You have to replace the whole shifter. P/N # 52104149AC
There was a couple years that Chevy and GMC used a circuit board in the tail light assembly. It was a bad design. We had several in our fleet at work and many went bad. They are available from the dealer new. Not much you can do to repair the old one, just replace it with a new one.
Most people would say it can not be done. but if you don't minde playing around with the tail light, I think the Circuit board will come out with the back plate but it will take abit of work prising it off as it is glued on. But then you would have to get an used tail light that has broken lenses and good sockets
how do you replace the bulb of a volvo v70xc 2001 side mirror?
Working from inside the car, pull the cloth back from behind the light housing to expose a bunch of wires and a plastic circuit board. Circuit board is held on by a couple finger clips. Squeeze clips, gently pull on board and the whole works will come out. It will look like a circuit board with light bulbs in various locations. Press and turn to free your burnt out bulb. Take the bulb with you when you get a new one. No tools necessary.
how do you replace front left turn signal on a 2001, volvo, s80
http://www.corvetteradios.com/ sells the bulbs for the GM k1500 radios. They have a diagram showing how to solder them to the circuit board on their site.
Forget it. I figured it out.
Open the rear hatch and you will see the retaining screws inside the door frame. You can then drop the light out to get access to the bulbs. If no bulbs are bad then you may have a bad circuit board.
