First you have to take off the fan shroud and fan. From there you will see where the upper radiator hose connects to the thermostat housing. It should be held in by 2 bolts just take those out and the housing will come with it. Underneath that housing is your thermostat. That's how it is on a 98 Jeep unless yours is after 2002 it should be the same
