You can't. The service record can only be reset using the official MB diagnostic computer that they use at the dealership or other authorized service provider
That is correct the service records can only be updated by the official MB, but the message on your dashboard you can do it your self and save a few bucks !!
all you need to do is
1. trun on the ignition switch to the on position ( the one before crancking the car)
2. wait about one minute (you can even go inside the house to get a drink )
3. press the lefth arrow in your steering wheel (Up) (some times you have to press on ti hard, at one point I tink mine don't work, but they do so doit hard.)
4. meseage for service will display so press the rest button (small stick knob type, on lefth side of the instrument panel )
4 press the rest button to re set
Then you are set,

On the dashboard browse through the menu until you see the "You have exceeded the service by ... days" then click and hold the reset button for about 2 seconds (its the thingy that you rotate on the side of the dashboard) It will ask you to confirm, click on it again.

You DO NOT need to reset it, whre did you get that crazy idea/.
key in position 2, scroll to service due A or B then hold down reset button on the cluster for a few seconds, then it will promt you to push button and hold again. It should reset now and tell you will you next change is due. Make sure you door is shut.
