I need to reset my radio in a 2001 Mitsubishi Montero Sport. I do have the code. But the radio is in OFF mode. I need to get it to CODE mode. Thanks
Look at the upper end of the brake pedal under dash area
After repairing the cause of the code, you clear the code with a scan tool.
we just call manufacture and gave em vin numbers they gave us the code
unhook the battery for about 10 min. should reset

After my 1995 Montero turned 150,000 miles the
how do you reset the fob for a mitsubishi magna
I have had the same problem with my Montero Sport. I have had it since new in 2002. The answer is after installing a new battery to sit in the parking lot and crank it about 5 times. It will stop doing this after about 5 times. Stinks if you are driving and stopping.
i need to know how to set the radio when you battery goes dead and the radio says code its a 2001 mits monyero sports.
paps, try 3280 monterosport code for 4x2 glsv 2012 year model or up.
If it is the same as my 95 LS then drive to a clear parking lot, fully depress, then release the "S" reset button (you may need to use a ballpoint pen) on the front of the compass and drive slowly in a clockwise circle 3 times. That should reset it.
how i reset check enging light manually at mitsubishi fuso 4m50
It does not have a reset switch. It does not have a reset switch.
disconnect the battery for a couple of minutes, if it comes back on after you drive the computer is getting an error code from the engine check the codes to see whats causing it
the dealer should take care of it because they made the key but you have to go into the computer and reset it
You have to get a code for it. You can get from the internet ir Mitsubishi, but its not free.
you go to the dealer and get it checked out. they have to do it for you.
I had this same issue. Take out the radio and call a Mitsubishi dealer. You will need to serial number, and they can look it up on some site they only have access to. Blame the oil change people for leaving the air filter sensor unplugged when starting the car, then having to unplug the battery to reset the check engine light.
The 1990 Mitsubishi does have a computer. You can reset the computer by removing the positive cable from the battery. Keep the cable off for 30 seconds and return it to its original position.
this can only be done at a mitsubishi dealers service department
You cannot reset a code. Take out your radio. Check the serial number on it and call Mitsubishi dealer. They will check a database and give you a code.
