How do you take apart the inside door panel on a 2002 Silverado extended cab to re-attach the bolt to the door handle?

If it's still under warranty, take it to the dealer. If not, then you need to go to a car parts store, and get a repair manual for your car. They cost about $16.00 Or, go to a Public Library.

Go to the following website. It will show how to remove the door panel. You can then reattach the bolt. kwmuth.com

You will need to remove the inside door panel. With the door panel removed the entire door latching system will be visible. Reattach the door handle by attaching the door handle retaining bolts.

Yours probably has the same problem as mine...& that is the door handle has broken off inside. Mine has 2 broken tangs & so it will not work but it works inside.

I believe the original handle is riveted on. If so, you can drill out the rivet and use nut's and bolts to reattach.
