mid to upper 70 for water temp, gave her a few guppy friends to keep her busy, shes in a ten gallon and i change the water at 25% once a week, i feed her betta pellets freeze dried brine shrimp and flack food, she has a few places to hide and lots of live plant with some fake. and her tank bottom is a mixture of aqurium gravel and some river rock. she loves the ten gallon better than the cup i brought her home from walmrt in. hope this helps, oh and dont ever put them with a male unless breeding, and reaserch tht before you attempt, also unless its a 20 long or more, only one female per tank.
Not as soon as they hatch. He will keep taking care of them and keeping them in the nest for a few days. Once they become free swimming and are able to start wandering far away, then he will start to see them as food and he needs to be put in another tank.
Yes very easy. Fighters are very hardy fish.
My sugestion is that you sell them because the female wil try to eat them and the male will kill the female and you will loose you female betta fish so give them to a pet store or sell em
Female betta fish can last as lond as five years. But as always, it depends on how you take care of them. They need proper feeding, and they always need a clean tank at least once a week. This is the same for male bettas as well.

Yes of course! Fish are always good pets because they are easy to take care of.
Kill them you can fry an egg and break the yolk up and feed it to them
A guppy fish is a live bearing fish, but the female generally does not take care of her young, and will eat them.
A Long life for a Betta is around 30 months.
If they get along, the female will lay eggs and the male will take care of them until they hatch. If the female is left in the same tank afterward though, she may try to eat the eggs and the male will fight her.
The best pet fish for kids to get is a Betta. You might think oh lets go get a goldfish! But really most of the goldfishes at stores are babies and need A LOT of growing space also a Betta lives longer. Also Betta's are easier to take care of!
I think your betta fish is a female. I'm assuming that it is pregnant because female betta fish have a white spot on their stomach if they're pregnant. If you have another male fish, [ but he has to be ready to mate. You can tell if he is ready if he is creating a bubble nest.] try putting them together. Before you do that, try looking for infos on them first [just in case]. I don't want things to go wrong because I might've told you the wrong things. I'm just a child that happens to take care of 2 betta fish and doesn't know about them much.. I'm not a professional of betta fish, but I found these information on the internet. I have two betta fish myself, and one lost its color.I wanted to look more info on betta fish, and learn how to take care of them better. Eventually, I learned many new things about them. Maybe you can learn more about betta fish since you are taking care of one. It's just a suggestion, but I tried looking them up on the comp and it helped me a lot. I just wanted to let you know what i have experienced. ^^ I can give you a site that tells you a lot of info about betta fish. I got most of my info about them in this site: http://www.bettatalk.com/basic_care.htm If you want to learn more about betta fish, then just go on google, and search about them. I hope this helped and hope that your betta fish is alright.^^~!
