its the same thing that controls the brightness of lights on your dash, roll it up or down to turn off
where in the left fuse box ,interior courtesy lights, amp-color
This information can be found in your owner's manual. Don't have one, get one. Dealer or salvage yard is a source. Hi I own a 2001 Mustang convertible. The fuse for the interior light who are on the inside mirror is fuse number 7 an it is a 15A
Lights inside the car. Dome light, courtesy light, etc.

It is usually wired in with the radio or the courtesy/dome lights.
There should be a switch that has three positions, one position to have the courtesy lights come on only when doors are opened, another position to turn courtesy lights off completely and another position to have courtesy lights stay on continually.
yes and yes
Most vehicles have the instrument panel light brightness level and the interior courtesy lights [on or off] controlled by the same switch, which usually is a "rotary" type. The on/off function of the instrument panel lights is usually "tied" in with the parking and headlight off/on push-pull switch. The reason for having this additional, manual method of control for the interior courtesy lights is to allow use of the courtesy lights WITHOUT having to open one of the doors. When the parking or headlights are on, clockwise rotation of the headlight switch knob, increases the brightness of the instrument panel lights. Just before full clockwise rotation of the knob, there is a "detent," which if passed, turns on the interior courtesy lights. Full COUNTERclockwise rotation of the knob dims the instrument panel lights to the point of extinguishment, but to my knowledge, full counterclockwise rotation DOES NOT turn on the interior courtesy lights. j3h.
Check a fuse called "courtesy" or "Interior" or something like that. It depends on the auto manufacturer.
could be numerous reasons, such a bad courtesy light switch on either of the 4 doors, a grounded courtesy switch wire, or possibly an entry module fault ( when you push in the lock button, and the interior lights come on ) . Good luck
Should be in the main fuse block. Look for a fuse labeled "courtesy".
The courtesy lights solenoid (relay) of a ford galaxy 2002 is found on level 1 of the junction box underneath the drivers dashboard together with most of the fuses. If the courtesy lights are'nt working first check the fuses. There are 3 fuses controlling the interior lights, numbers 27, 53 and 55.
