I bought what is called an "Add A Circuit" fuse link. This thing has two slots for 10 amp fuses and plugs into the "Door Sw Defeat" fuse slot. It also has a wire coming off it to add another line to it. What I did was pull the 10 amp fuse out, plugged in the Add A Circuit and plugged the fuse into the second opening of the new dual fuse holder. Then I installed a toggle switch under the dash near accessible only when the glove box is open. From the toggle switch, I connected a ground wire to it, grounded that to an existing metal screw, and the other wire connected to the wire coming from the dual fuse holder. Flipped the switch and the light turns off. The total cost was, $1.19 for the toggle switch and about 5 bucks for the Add A Circuit connector. Piece of cake! Good luck! I believe if you turn your gauge panel dimmer switch all the way it turns on the interior lights when all the doors are closed
Rotate headlight knob clockwise. check yer owners manual and remove the fuse behind the glove compartment.
You probably turned them on by accident. They are controlled with the same pull switch that turns on the headlights. By twisting the switch to the far left it will click and the dome lights will turn on, by twisting it to the right it will turn off the interior lights and will then dim the dashboard lights.
turn on the ignition - pull every fuse in turn until the light goes out but its easier just to take the bulb out as the fuse may also be for other electrical items.
If the interior lights in a vehicle will not go off, first one should make sure all doors are closed. Then one should find the switch on the roof of the vehicle and make sure it is not turned to the on position.
In the upper console above the windshield where the two lights are located there is a rocker switch giving the option of On, Off and with Doors.
Check all you door switches, sounds like one of them has gone bad.
this is nice
how to get the interior lights to turn on on 2003 oldsmobile silhouette
On the interior lights for the back seats, there is a switch. When you turn the switch to "Door" mode it will make the lights turn on when the door is opened.
locate the fuse to the interior lights and remove it. On our 98 Explorer you turn the dash light adjustment switch off, next to the headlight switch.
Have you checked your gauge panel dimmer switch ( just to the right of your headlight switch in your dash ) If that has been rotated all the way in one direction that will keep all your interior lights on with all the doors closed
