My 1995 Ford Explorer XLT , 4x4 , doesn't have traction control
If you mean the Control Trac 4x4 system , it seems to work fine
just don't romp on the gas pedal when you have the front wheels turned
sharply to the left or right in 4x4 auto because the power will transfer to the
front wheels suddenly and the back end passes the front ( I did that in an
empty , snow covered parking lot to see what would happen and I didn't
want to hit anything )
The selective traction control didn't appear until the 1998 model year but traction control started to be installed in 1995.
No, it was not available on the 1995 model.
Sometimes
traction control on/off button located n glove box.try turning off.
the car has traction control turn it off.
YOU CAN TAKE YOUR BATTERY CABLES OF AND THEN PUT THEM BACK ON, THE COMPUTER WILL RESET IT SELF, BUT IF YOU HAVE NOT FIXED THE TRACTION PROBLEM THE LIGHT WILL COME BACK ON..
There's usually a button on/by the shifter or in the glove compartment. If not, check your owner's manual.

If you are on ice or if you press on the gas hard then that is normal.
