OPEN BONNET ,GO TO THE SIDE OF THE CAR YOU NEED TO GET AT , CLIP OFF THE HEAD LIGHT MAIN BULB CASE , PULL OUT THE HOLE LIGHT WITH SILVER BASE. IT VERY EASY
There is one hex/torq bit srcew on the fender side of the headlight. it can be hard to get to. take out that one screw, then pull the headlight out, it is set on rails. install the opposite.
You can change it yourself.. not really that hard.. Open the hood then look on the engine side of the headlight. There is a black cover that removes by moving the clip. Then remove the wire from the bulb. next, there is a metal clip. It is a little hard to get the clip off but once you get it off it is very easy.. Just remove the clip then take out old bulb and replace.
You have to do a lot of unscrewing, including the headlight... Once you take the headlight loose, you shoul'dnt have a hard time finding the parkng light bulb... Guess Chrysler meant it that way. I own a 95 GC.
There is a gray tab on the back of the headlight assembly turn it counterclockwise and pull it out the bulb is on the end push in the bulb then turn it counterclockwise and pull the bulb free. The bulb you need to use is a #2357A its not that hard to do.
If you have an 89-96 Katana, you can usually reach up under the main body fairing, behind the headlight. There is a rubber boot on the back of the headlight reflector (the glass headlight casing). If you pry off the rubber boot, the bulb will come with it. You should be able to swap the bulb with a good one and wiggle the boot back in place. If you have large hands or this seems too hard to do in a cramped space, you will want to remove your fairings.
You have to take the whole light out and replace the bulb. Then make sure the lights are realigned. Its not that hard to do.
it is not that hard you can get a book online if you need help
The headlight bulbs are filled with Halogen gas. They reach very high temperatures when operated. They should be cleaned with a clean towel or cloth with rubbing alcohol. If this isn't done it could blow up in the headlight housing which would ruin its reflectivity and you wil have to spend $124 for a new headlight housing. Don't touch the glass with your fingers. The oil on your skin will make the bulb overheat and explode. I found this out the hard way. 1. Reach behind the headlight assembly and turn the bulb holder counterclockwise to remove it. 2. Take the bulb out of the holder. 3. Put a new bolt in the holder assembly and turn it clockwise in the headlight housing to be fixed. 4. Note that one of the retainers on the bulb fits deeper in the socket than the other one. Be sure to place the tangs into the correct slots. '
1) Unplug the wire to the headlight. 2) Remove black rubber piece surrounding the headlight bulb. Can be hard to remove, just pull gently. 3) ... This is what threw me off... The clip that holds the bulb is supposed to be pulled to the side (to unlatch it), then pushed towards the engine. (I thought it needed to be pushed down, but it doesn't. Hope that helps!
The whole headlight on these 03 silverado is not that hard to take it out. When you pop the hood open as you look on the headlight there should a long piece of tube metal that is holding the headlight onto your car. As I recall there shouldn't be any screws or bolts holding the headlights. That is for headlights, not "Daytime Running Lights". Still looking for answer!
1. Take the three bolts that hold the headlight/ blinker lens assembly off. 2. Pull kind of hard straight out. There is a clip that should release. If it does not realease then break it. 3. Change bulb.
Lift the hood and remove the socket that holds the bulb don't twist to hard they only twist half a turn to release then replace bulb and then put it back into the light assembly
