Volvo 940 is prey easy to dismantel compared with other cars.
Added by Al Check the valve first and make sure you have coolant flow. Both hoses that go into the dash should get hot. Make sure the controls work, doors etc. Heater cores usually fail by leaking. If it's not leaking try flushing the cooling system.
have you checked the fuse if so then you will need to replace the resistor for the blower hig and low dettings have you checked the fuse do you have 12 volts to blower if so then you will need to replace the resistor for the blower replace the blower motor

Remove the wiring harness to the heater blower fan. Remove the retaining bolts. Remove the fan from the blower. Reverse the process to install the new heater blower fan.

Replace the resister, if that doesn't work replace the blower motor.
To replace the heater blower motor: First unplug the wire connectors. Then remove the screws and the motor will pull out. Reverse the process to reinstall the blower motor.

Check fuse if the blower is not working. If it is then replace your heater core. if its not then replace your fan switch.
You can unplug the blower motor and run a jumper wire to test the blower motor. If it is grounded through the plug you'll have to run a ground wire to it also. Blower Motor tested good.
