The effect is the other way around initially. Global climate change causes a loss of ice at the poles. This in turn opens up more water to absorb solar energy warming the oceans further. The melted ice dilutes the sea water causing changes in ocean currents which alter the distribution of warm currents like the Gulf Stream and the el Nino which in turn impact the climates in Europe and the Americas.

The south pole is more or less in the middle of the Antarctic continent and is so far unaffected by global climate change.

The continent of Antarctica, however, is being affected, losing ice, especially from the Western Peninsula.

The icecap over the land is melting. Large sections of ice have broken away. As most of the ice in Antarctica is on land, then when it melts it will raise the sea level all round the world.

The ozone hole has little if nothing to do with global warming. The ozone hole is the thinning of the ozone layer, particularly over the south pole, where the extreme cold causes extreme thinning. Global warming is the rising temperature of the earth's atmosphere caused by human deforestation and the burning of fossil fuels.
