The negatives of American Imperialism were that they exerted pressure over weaker country's not so much with an intention to loot them as was the method of operation used by say Britain Spain The Netherlands to name but a few. the United states on the other hand used a system of fostering strife and war amongst its neighbors to further its own ends. More money can be made by selling your friends weapons then having them compete with you on the open market.
