is it hard to change the water pump on a 1992 Oldsmobile achieva. Yes, it is very hard to replace a water pump on an Achieva. When the pump died on my 1996 Achieva, the engine needed to be unbolted and removed to get to it. As I recall, it cost about $500. I have a 95 Olds Achieva 3.1 and the water pump was very easy to change. Mine is on the front passenger side of the engine. Very easy to get to, just be careful not to break any bolts off. lol

You must remove the exhaust manifold it's easy to do once this is done.also the front timing cover need to be removed because the water pump driven by the chain.

You need a 3/8 Allen key.
it is located on the front right corner of the fire wall if you are inside you car facing out. and if you stand in front of your car facing the engine it is on your left side of the fire wall .
Try about 25 lb. ft. for the caliper bracket.

Go underneath the front of car by the grill.Look up towards the hood latch.In the middle is a switch.Push it to the left and the hood should release.

The front brake rotor, on a 2004 Chevrolet Colorado, can be removed by first removing the wheel. Next, remove the brakes. The rotor will slide off
there should be a u shaped clip in the front of the knob, almost like a staple. pry that out with a screwdriver and the knob should pull off.
The map sensor is located next to the idler air control valve on the front of the motor on top. It has a vaccume hose hooked to it and one bolt holding it on with a bracket.
Most likely brake fluid. Check the master cylinder level.
If you are referring to the SL 3.1 then they have two Crankshaft Position Sensor's, one is located in the front of the engine at the lower right corner just behind the Harmonic Balancer (which will have to be removed to get the sensor out) and the other one is located on the left side of the engine closer to the front of the engine about half way down just below the plugs. This one is hard to get to. (The front of engine is facing the passenger side of the car)
Your front brake rotors are warped. They need to be removed and turned true on a lathe. Many auto parts stores offer this service.
Pull the tires off and take the brake calipers off and the rotors will pull off.
Low pressure port is located close to the A/C compressor on the inlet tubing. You need to access it from underneath the front bumper/engine area.
The rotor will wobble when the caliper is removed if the rotor isn't seated. Older jeeps don't need to have the rotor seated so it will slide off when the caliper is removed.
The most effective brake is the front brake.

The refrigerant needs to be added on the low pressure side of the compressor. this is located under the front of the vehicle by the bottom of the radiator. the line has a fitting which should have a blue cap on it. that's where you add the freon.
