A kitten at 6 weeks old is likely to survive without its mother, although is likely to still be in the middle of the weaning process.

The main concern is that a kitten should never be taken away from its mother at such an early age. Kittens six to eight weeks old who have already left their mothers and siblings have not learned any important socialisation or behaviour skills yet, which kittens learn from eight weeks onwards. During this time kittens will learn how to play and interact with their littermates, mother and any other animals and humans in the house.

They learn what behaviour is acceptable and what is not from their mother, and will learn how to play and share with their littermates. They will also learn about grooming and litterbox use at this crucial time. Taking a kitten away at this crucial stage of development can cause behavior issues later on in its life as it will not have been taught otherwise.

Yes, it is possible that a kitten separated from its mother at 6 weeks would die, possibly from malnutrition since 6 weeks is too young to eat wet food or drink water. It is also possible, if the mother dies or stops producing milk, to nurse the kitten for a few weeks until it is old enough to eat canned cat food and drink milk.

However, kittens that are separated from their mothers too early often have behavioral problems, including aggression and difficulties playing well with other cats in the house. If possible, you should leave the kitten with its mother until it is at least 12 weeks old, and preferrably 16 weeks or older when it has naturally been weaned off its mother's milk and is more independent.

It depends on where it's living, keep it indoors under a lamp which gives off heat and feed it milk and hope it survives for another week I usually by 3 weeks it will start to open its eyes and try to walk. If it gas had mothers milk for 2 weeks you may be ky kt as ur already has antibodies to fight off infections and colds. I had a cat which was abonded at birth si no mothers milk but we managed to keep if alive and healthy for 3 weeks but the next door cat had a bad disease and sadly our little kitten caught it - so u suggest u don't go near other animals possibly carrying disease. Hops it survives!

Maybe. Though I advise to wait 'till they are 7-8 weeks old.

How long can a newborn kitten survive without food?

a kitten should not be removed from it's mother under the age of 12 weeks. under, that age kittens get health and nutrients from their mother's rich, fatty milk. when, the queen is finally slapping away nursing kittens, is a good time to remove them. or else, the female may hurt them, as the kittens grow teeth, their sharp biters pierce the female's belly causing her to feel pain, and slap the away from her body. hope this helps! :)

How long can a month old kitten survive without milk?

unless it's eating atleast a bit of normal kitten food, not long. most probably about a week or two, maybe more, I'm not sure. think of it this way, if you were starved, how long do you think you would last? it is said that humans last up to a week without food! so think around that, but it would be wiser to consult a vet first.
