Between the various wars and Intifadas, around 15,000 to 16,000 Arabs identifying as Palestinians have died either as a result of Israeli military action, Israeli civilian action, or from blowing themselves up in Suicide Bombings during the Intifadas.

How did the Palestinian Arabs become people without a country?

In 1948, Jews didn't have a country, so they invaded Palestine, killed many Palestinians, and forced many out. The Jews then changed the name of Palestine to Israel.

Which country wants Palestine?

Palestinians want Palestine. Many Israelis also want certain parts of Palestine, especially East Jerusalem.

How many people were killed in the genocide with Palestine and Israel?

There was no genocide in Palestine. This is hyperbole. As for the amount of Palestinians (both militants and civilians) that have been killed by Israelis (in uniform or not), the number is probably close to 16,000 individuals. However, when you realize that the total Palestinian population is 4,000,000+ people (of which 1.5 million live peacefully in Israel), it becomes clear that there is no genocide.

How have Israelis treated the Palestinians?

Israel and the State of Palestine are major enemies. They have been conflicting since the formation of the Jewish state in 1948. Israel and Palestine have been involved in several wars, all of which Israel has won. Israel is a greater military power than Palestine, which is why Israel has won more wars and killed more Palestinians in the process. However, the Israelis are only defending their nation. Israel has occupied Palestine for almost sixty years. Israel has the right to protect itself against attacks, and has a strict military policy to protect itself because it is surrounded by enemy nations. The current government of Palestine is regarded as a terrorist organization by many countries, such as Israel and the United States, which is why Israel is especially cautious.

Who is in charge of palestine?

The British Mandate of Palestine covered all of current day Israel (including the occupied territories) and Jordan, as well as parts of Syria. Currently however, the term Palestine refers to the Occupied Territories where Israel has put the Palestinians previously occupying what is now Israel. The Israeli Defense Forces controls Palestine with an iron fist, though recently there has been efforts to bring the Palestinian Authority to power. This has not been successful as of yet because of many things, among them Israel's want for an Israeli Jerusalem without Palestinians and Israel's wants for better safety for their citizens (leading to much worse safety for Palestinians).

How many Israelis killed and how many Palestinians killed since the state of Israel created?

If you do a search on the web of casualty numbers for all wars and conflicts between Israelis and Palestinians, you can find the numbers although there are many different reports on numbers especially on the Arab side which is less exact. I took the higher estimates for all and counted approximately 19,000 Palestinians killed by Israelis and 18,885 Israelis killed by Palestinians and other Arabs since the start of the conflict in the 1920s. Also note that a further 18,300 Palestinians were killed by other Arab groups (Black September, War of the Camps, etc.). The amount of Israeli casualties from only conflicts with the Palestinians ranges from 2,000-3,000 individuals.

What was the relationship between Israel and Palestine like before 1984?

If this question is asking about political relations between Israel and Palestine, then the answer is rather simple: Palestine did not exist. Palestine only became a country in the late 1980s or early 1990s depending on the particular interpretation of history chosen. At this point, the Palestine Liberation Organization, the forerunner to the current Palestinian Authority (the recognized government of Palestine), was a stateless organization that believed in no negotiation or peace with the State of Israel. If this question is asking about personal relationships between Israelis and Palestinians, the question becomes more complicated. Between 1949 and 1967, Israeli Jews had little if any contact with Palestinians. The Israeli Arab communities tried to maintain links across the border with Jordan, but with little luck. Between 1967 and 1987, many Palestinians got jobs in Israel and correspondingly, there was relatively high degree of contact. Palestinians formed large portions of the workforce in many unskilled professions during this period. While the Occupation certainly bothered and infuriated the Palestinians, it was nowhere near as strong and omnipresent as it has been since the Intifadas.

What land do Israel and Palestine still have a conflict over?

The fighting occurs primarily in the Gaza Strip, but there are still riots and low-level violence in the West Bank. However, many Palestinians still claim that the entire State of Israel belongs to the Palestinians, so the conflict is still over the entire former Mandate of Palestine.

Did Palestine help Jews in the Holocaust?

Zionist Jews in Palestine did volunteer to assist the Allies fighting in Europe. The most famous of these was Palestinian-born Hungarian Jew Hana Senesh, who was captured by the Nazis and tortured to death. However, the Arab Palestinians assisted the British in preventing Jews fleeing from Europe any refuge in the British Mandate of Palestine. Additionally, many Arab Palestinians were pro-Nazi during the period and the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem was actually forced out of Palestine due to his pro-Nazi activities.

Are Palestine Muslims?

Palestinians are not all Muslims. Palestinians are consisting of Palestinian christian and Palestinian Muslims but the percentage of Palestinian Christian has greatly diminished since the Israeli occupation especially during the Deir Yassin Massacre of 1948. As the stories of Palestinian Christian is not widely told, many people seem to forget their existence and take for granted that all Palestinian are Muslims and their plight has been forgotten.

What are the main differences between the beliefs of the Palestinians and the Israelis?

Palestine The majority of Palestinians are Muslim, with a significant minority of Christians. However, many Christian Palestians have emigrated in recent years. There are probably few acknowledged atheists.IsraelThe majority of Israelis are Jews, including a significant minority of atheists. Some Palestinians were permitted to remain in Israel after independence and, once again, they are mainly Muslim.
