I don't know how many Mosques there are in New York City (probably none, but I don't know for certain). There are no Christian churches in Mecca because to enter the city you have to be muslim.

There are 12 mosques in New York City and 30 mosques in Brooklyn. New York State, at this point in time (2010), has a total of 141 mosques. There are no houses of worship of any religion other than Islam in Mecca.
