Between the various wars and Intifadas, around 16,000 to 19,000 Arabs identifying as Palestinians have died either as a result of Israeli military action, Israeli civilian action, or from blowing themselves up in Suicide Bombings during the Intifadas.

The number decreases to 6,000-7,000 if the Palestinian Suicide Bombers in the Intifadas are removed from the calculation.

In terms of other countries that have also killed Palestinians.

Jordan: 10,000-20,000
Lebanon: 4,000-7,000
Syria: 500-1,000
Egypt: 500-1,000

The amount of exclusively American citizens (as opposed to Israeli Nationals with American citizenship) who have been killed in the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict is negligible, less than 30 individuals. Most of these individuals died in Palestinian Suicide Bombings in Israel, but the most famous casualty was Rachel Corrie, who was killed by an Israeli bulldozer in the Gaza Strip. (The conflict has cost around 19,000 Palestinian lives and around 4,000 Israeli lives.)

There are a number of other Americans, such as the servicemen on board the USS Liberty and the Marines in the Lebanon Barracks that died as a result of the larger Arab-Israeli Conflict, but these casualties are not directly related to the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict.

How many people were killed in the genocide with Palestine and Israel?

There was no genocide in Palestine. This is hyperbole. As for the amount of Palestinians (both militants and civilians) that have been killed by Israelis (in uniform or not), the number is probably close to 16,000 individuals. However, when you realize that the total Palestinian population is 4,000,000+ people (of which 1.5 million live peacefully in Israel), it becomes clear that there is no genocide.

Why are their hostilities with Israel in the Middle East?

This is a very complex question. But basically Israel was established in 1948, prior to this it was Palestine. The British Mandate in Palestine along with the Balfour Declaration gave the "right" for the Jewish people of a "homeland" in Palestine. Also during the late 19th century the Zionist Movement had played it's part in this. This is the root to the hostilities towards Israel as this country has been established at the expense of another people and their homeland.
