This is like asking how many pounds do 8-year-olds weigh. If you are looking to slim your waist line, doing sit-ups will not necessarily help. There is no such thing as "spot fat" reduction. If you wanted the back of your upper arm to be thinner and more cut, doing arm extension all day will not help. You must lose total body fat in order to slim your waist line.
In fact, doing crunches, over and over, will cause your upper thighs to become stronger and tighter causing there to be a pull that draws you forward. Because the natural occurrence for your body is to be up-right, so now your back has to work over time to fight against the tightness in your thighs which will lead to low Back pain.
So, the answer is none. If you want to strengthen your abdominal muscles with one exercise and get the most out of it, I recommend doing lying bicycles. See Related Links.
to really get ripped, as a girl, do 50 in the morning,50 in the afternoon, and then 50 in the evening, for a bout a month or two, and you wiill get rock hard abs. i have done it and it works! remember to eat right after and before you go to bed because your muscles mostly grow in your sleep and you need protein and fat build them. good luck!
There is no specified number of sit ups that will acheive a six-pack. Its all about doing different ab exersizes while still allowing your body to recover and losing that layer of fat on top of the abdominals so the abs are visible. Keys to getting a six-pack: Run every day (high intensity), eat more nutriciously (not less, just better), and do ab exersizes (Google "ab exersizes" for great ab workouts, exercizes, and diet plans) GOOD LUCK! Anyone can get a great set of abs with commitment and work, and it shouldn't take too long.
you would have to do more then a days worth and after its all over you would have alot of arm muscles and barely any abs so do sit ups or 6 inches both would be more benifical and you see results in about a week.
Do burpies 20 straight every day push ups DON'T WORK! They increase your muscles, but they don't make your abs show- to make it show, you need to loose body fat. Do more running as well.
HOW MANY SIT UPS DOES IT TAKE TO GET A SIX PACK
If you want a six-pack, do NOT do sit-ups. While they will strengthen you greatly, they will not give you the abs that you seek. Building abs is hard, if you want them do crunches and a variety of different ab exercises rather than just sit-ups.
In addition, things have to be done in the correct order.
First, you need to get rid of any fat in the abdominal region.
Even a small layer of fat in that area will obscure your abdominals. Removing the fat is achieved through eating the correct foods and doing cardio exercise. If you build your adominals before losing that layer of fat, you will be wasting your time. In fact, you will lose worse.
Moreover, there is no specified number of exercises that will achieve a six-pack. Its all about doing different ab exercises while still allowing your body to recover and losing that layer of fat on top of the abdominals so the abs are visible.
So. the key to getting a six-pack: first blast the belly fat, eat correctly to avoid more belly fat accumulating, and do effective core ab exercises to develop abs. Anyone can get a great set of abs with commitment and work.
In summary, there are many myths about core strength exercises and six-pack abs. For information about the fat burning foods, fat burning cardio exercise to burn body fat, and the exercise routines for six-pack abs, see the page links given below.

There are two answers because it could be a boy and a girl. I have a both ways for a 13 year old boy and girl to get a six pack. Boy: excersize, eat healthy, sit-ups, push-ups, pull-ups, and super woman. Girl: eating healthy, push-ups, and sit-ups. Those are the answers how a boy and a girl can gt a six pack.
Thousands! You need to do more than sit ups. Eat healthy protein foods. Go for a jog each day. You're gonna have to do about 200-300 sit ups each morning and night. Remember no junk foods, fried foods, or soda! (You will be able to eat/drink these after you get your pack)
It is nearly impossible to get a six pack abs from diet alone. Abdominal exercises such as crunches and sit ups help greatly with developing a six pack.
You would have to do a lot of sit-ups and crunches.
To get a six pack in one week you must do thousands upon thousands of sit-ups everyday for the whole week.
