depends on your shower and shower head. If you are using a standard single shower head, in California the shower heads have regulators installed so they do not allow more than 2 gallons per minute, and some areas that is even reduced to 1.5 gallons per minute.
First, you must find the gallons per minute (GPM) of the shower head. (You can request a "flow bag" from your local water agency/supplier) Follow the directions on the bag to measure the gallons per minute. . Most showers range from 2-4gpm. If you know your flow or gpm, then you can simply find how many gallons are used in a 10 minute shower. GPM x minutes. This would be a GREAT exercise for an elementary student since the math is relavent.

what if you are 10 and you have to do this for school homework!

For those of you who do not wish to measure your shower's gpm, the National Standard in the US is 2.5 gpm, and nearly every shower head available in stores complies with it (though some with a lower flow rate are available).

ANS 2 - A 10 minute shower will use 25 -30 gallons of water.
Most standard shower heads use 2.5 gallons of water per minute. That would mean in a 10 minute shower, you would use 25 gallons of water. Low-flow shower heads are available to cut down on water consumption and still provide a comfortable shower. There are models available that use 2.0 gallons per minute, and even some that use 1.5 gallons per minute. You can use an internet search to help you find an affordable low-flow shower head so you can do your part in conserving our Natural Resources.

What uses more a bath or a ten minute shower?

It depends on how big your bath is, and how fast the water is running in the shower. An average bath uses between 30-50 gallons of water. An average four minute shower with an old shower head uses 20 gallons of water. With a low-flow shower head, you only use 10 gallons of water. So a shower is probably better. People who are interested in saving water would try to limit their shower time to four minutes. You don't need 10 minutes to wash yourself.

How many liters of water is used in a shower?

It depends on both the amount of time and the type of shower head. It usually ranges from 20 to 160 liters of water for a ten minute shower. Edit: A typical shower will use about 160 liters of water. In addition, the average shower uses approximately 10.0022 liters of water per minute. (EarthCareCanada.com)

Why does the storage tank run out of hot water when showering and what can you do to sort out this problem?

Many variables need to be supplied here. Size of water heater, Gallons per minute of shower head and volume of water being used. If the water heater is small, you only have 30 gallons of hot water available. If you have a 6 GPM shower head, that is only enough for about a 5 minute shower. If you have had the water heater checked out to make sure the heating element (if electric) isn't corroded or caked with calcium or making a lot of noise (boiling sounds) if it is gas, you can increase the temperature setting on the water heater. This will let you use more cold water and increase your shower duration. Changing your shower head to a low flow type will also increase you soak time. Another thing to consider is the distance of the shower from the water heater. If the pipes have to travel some distance in an uninsulated space, this will lower water temperature as it travels through the pipes. Hope this helped.

What is the minimum water pressure required to install a shower?

This does vary slightly according to the shower, but for a shower without a pump, using a gravity feed, a water pressure of at least 0.1 bar is recommended. If your water pressure is low you will need to install a pumped shower.

Why do you run out of hot water after 10 minute shower?

You run out hot water because you must have a small water heater. A water heater gets water, and heats it up, so if you have a small one, then once you use up all the hot water, you need to wait a while for the heater to heat up more.
