I went to car quest, bought the fan clutch for $207.00 (with tax), took it to a local mechanic and they replaced it for $35.00. Total of $242.00 that I've spent. I know this is a lot, but I wanted to get rid of that noise as soon as possible. Thank you.
How do you change the spark plugs on a 2002 chavy trailblazer
if you do not have no experience in fixing car, do not do it
If your hear "ticking" and have to use WD40
Try searching autozone.com...............
you cant change the front shocks on the trailblazer without a spring compressor because on a trailblazer they all have struts and they have to be compressed down
The ac clutch is held on with a single nut, and can be removed with a remover tool. It the tool will not fit in the space available, then the entire compressor will have to be removed to replace the clutch.
see "how too replace water pump on 2002 Trailblazer"
sticking thermostat, fan clutch or waterpump. all have tell tale signs.
Where are the good wrenches now. Do yourself a favor and buy a Honda or Toyota. Peace
When a clutch fan is always engaged, it could mean that the clutch is no longer working properly and needs to be replaced. If a clutch wears out, then it will make?æthe engine to run hot when idle.
The 4.2 l inline six - The water pump may last over 100,000 miles. Check for bearinf play and a leak from the front. Fan clutch is there too and is more common to fail early. You should slways change the serpentine belt at the same time. www.trailvoy.com for all the answers for the 2002+ Envoy/Trailblazer platform trucks!
I have a 2002 Trailblazer and was told we do not have a fuel filter. You can verify this by looking at your maintenance manual or better yet (really!) call a Chevy Service department.
