Let me give you examples: Indians are mainly vegetarians Majority of Chinese east pork, Muslims don't eat pork, Nigeria is the world's most populated black nation etc. so in global advertisement and marketing, it can be customized to advertise vegetarian products to Indians, Pork products to Chinese, Non-pork Products to Muslims (Arabs), and popular black people's products to Nigerians.

So how do you know where these people are from?

It is possible through demographic information gathering and currently done in social media where people fill their interest, age, location, job, earnings, race etc.

Thus, Mass customization of advertising and other forms of marketing communication is possible through gathering of demographic data and marketing or advertising products in relation to the data gathered.

e.g age - cigarettes will be advertised to people above 18

expensive products - customized for people with high salary

holiday, Wrestling, football, soccer etc - customized to people with that particular interest and the list goes on dear.
