a 1984 Ford Tempo 2.3L HSC has 90hp with its carburated system. in 1985 it came out with a CFI it had 86HP so the SHO was born and it made more power with a bigger cam and better flowing head. it was rated at 90HP but some say it had 98hp then the last system came out MPFI with 98hp and 100hp the hp was not really high on the HSC engine but the low rpm torque was made this car move .
